Peripheral Myelin P0 Protein (180-199), Mouse is a protein belonging to the immunoglobulin supergene family and an affinity adhesion molecule. It constitutes the primary component of the myelin sheath in the peripheral nervous system (PNS), promoting axonal growth in rat embryonic cortical neurons. Deletion of MPZ expression in mice results in poor myelin compactness.
